Our programs The Africa Regional Office runs two flagship programs: the Climate Change Adaptation and Food Security (CCAFS) program and the Farm-Oriented Renewable Energy (FORE) program. The Climate Change Adaptation and Food Security program targets 2 countries in the Congo Basin region in Central Africa, while the Farm-Oriented Renewable Energy program targets 3 cocoa producing countries in Central and West Africa.
The five-year strategic plan matrix shown on the next page is a response to the problems we’ve identified in the field since 2008 and attempts to seek practical solutions to them. In the light of those formative years, our goal is to embark on interventions that are not only timely, but also pertinent and solvable; interventions that are liable to deliver visible results as well as enable us acquire the skills, knowledge and insight necessary to adequately address the next hierarchy of problems a few decades from now.
