VOLUNTEERING / INTERNSHIPS
CEHDev offers volunteers and interns a chance to work on on-going overseas projects and programs where their expertise will be used to the maximum. In general, volunteers and interns will contribute in one or more of the following ways:
•Give administrative and organisational support to projects;
•Contribute to the implementation of project/program activities;
•Give technical support and advice to projects/programs;
•Contribute to the documentation, illustration and institutionalisation of good practice, lessons learnt and implementation of projects/programs;
•Contribute to the exchange of knowledge by participating in seminars, meetings, reunions as participants or resource persons;
•Contribute to project/program visibility;
•Take part in analysing and evaluating results and impacts of project/program activities, and giving feed-back to program management;
•Contribute in fundraising activities;
•Take part in the exchange of knowledge and experience with other volunteers and interns.
Volunteers / interns will be assigned supervisors during the entire duration of their service with CEHDev, to whom they will be primarily answerable. They will be expected to make a report of their stewardship to management through their supervisors at the end of their service.
It is expected that at the end of their service, past volunteers and interns will continue to engage in activities that promote CEHDev’s goals. This could range from fundraising through advocacy and public relations activities.
