CEHDev
The Centre for Environment and Human Development (CEHDev) is a 501(c)3 flagship and
rights-based international conservation and development organisation incorporatedin the
Commonwealth of Virginia, USA,created to identify and seek appropriate solutions to pressing
environmental and development issues bedevilling rural, peri-urban and urban communities in
the globalSouth. Westrive to empower people in natural resource-dependent communities to
internalise conservation-friendly livelihoods improvement strategies by assisting them promote
the conservation, wise management and rational use of forest and aquatic resources.
Operating from our Africa Regional Office in Yaoundé, Cameroon, since creation in July 2007
we have gradually proposed a process of alternative development whereby grassroots
mobilisation is seen as the hallmark of an innovative development process.

The baby epitomises disenfranchised people and the nursing mother represents survival opportunities. The grill and dark background depict the sombre world characterised by economic and environmental squandermania, unequal opportunities and misplaced priorities .

CEHDev have a 5-year Strategic Plan designed to guide long term planning for the period 2013 to 2018.In line with thisStrategic Plan,and cognisant of the need to set practical, achievable and measurable objectives, our overseas programs are presently limited to biodiversity-rich Central and West Africa. Since inception we have been working on forest and livelihoods issues with rural communities in the South West Region of Cameroon, but are now in the process of creating country offices in the region, coordinated from our Africa Regional Office in Cameroon
